St Mary’s of Convoy turn it on against Urris 

John Doherty scored the goal and John Toye posted four points for St Mary's, Convoy who now have eight points from their six Division 3 outings

St Mary’s of Convoy turn it on against Urris 

St Mary's Convoy picked up another good two points at the weekend with a win over Urris.

St Mary's, Convoy, maintained their push for promotion from Division 3 with a big win over and understrength Urris in St Mary’s Park on Saturday evening.  

St Mary’s, Convoy 1-12 Urris 0-4 

John Doherty scored the goal and John Toye posted four points and Matthew Coyle, three points, while Conall McDermott, Ciaran Dolan, player manager Laurence McMullan and Anthony Browne were all among the point scorers. 

Conor Bradley, Matthew Brennan and Shane McCaul scored the points for Urris. The win moves St Mary’s on to eight points in the league table and level on points with Carndonagh and just three points adrift of early pace setters Moville but with a game in hand with the leaders. 

Urris with two wins and one draw from seven games played are in ninth place and just one point behind Naomh Ultan and one ahead of Naomh Padraig, Lifford.
