Shocking video shows violent brawl on bus in Buncrana

The video of the incident has been widely circulated on social media.

An alleged assault on a bus in Buncrana on Saturday night, January 17, has been widely shared on social media.

The incident is understood to have occurred close to midnight in the Ludden area of the town, when the bus was parked at the entrance to a courtyard of a filling station. Video footage circulating online shows several men involved in a fight on board the bus.

In the video, one individual can be seen with blood pouring from his face as the altercation continues. At one point, the bus driver is seen intervening and pulling one man away from the injured individual in an attempt to bring the situation under control. It is understood that the bus was operated by a firm not based in Inishowen.

A Garda spokesperson has confirmed that they have not received any reports relating to the incident. However, they are appealing to anyone who was involved or who witnessed what happened on Saturday night to contact Buncrana Garda Station.
