Following on from the weekend when Derry overcame Donegal on a 3-14 to 1-15 scoreline and Monaghan beat Clare 1-23 to 1-18, the date, time and venues have been decided for the final round of fixtures.

Donegal will take on Monaghan at 6pm on Saturday, June 17, at Healy Park in Omagh, with a 6pm throw-in and at the same time Derry play Clare at Pearse Park in Longford.

Clare have been eliminated following the first two series of matches. On weekend one they went down 0-14 to 0-9 at home to Donegal, with Derry and Monaghan sharing the spoils at Celtic Park in a 0-14 to 0-14 draw.

Therefore, on Saturday week, Derry, Monaghan and Donegal will play for the top three places in the group, with progression already assured. The winners of the group will progress directly to the All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals, while all the second-placed teams will have home advantage over those who come third in the play-off round.

Donegal are currently third in Group 4, with the Tyrone, Dublin and Kerry currently in second spot in the other three groups. The last time Donegal played Monaghan in the championship was in the 2007 All-Ireland qualifiers, with Monaghan winning 2-2 to 1-7.
