Oisin Bonner and Dungloe had too much for Naomh Muire.
Dungloe returned to winning ways with a big victory over neighbours Naomh Muire, Lower Rosses, in Rosses Park.
Dungloe 3-8 Naomh Muire 0-6
Shaun McGee and Barry Curran scored the goals with McGee netting two to cap a fine individual performance in the corner of the attack.
Curran drove through the heart of the Naomh Muire defence to give Declan Ward, between the Naomh Muire posts, no chance from 20 metres, for the first.
That was on ten minutes and propelled the host team into a 1-3 to 0-1 lead for a dominant Dungloe. Matthew Ward, who had a good game, Dylan Sweeney and Oisin Bonner scored early points as Dessie Gallagher’s charges got off to a lightning start.
Eoin Martin scored from a close in free for Naomh Muire’s opening point four minutes into the contest.
And McGee, who was the go to man in the front line of the attack, linked well with Daire Gallagher for the second three-pointer five minutes later to drill home from close range.
With Naomh Muire restricted to sporadic breaks, Martin raised their second flag on 13 minutes.
But due to some wayward shooting Dungloe did not score again for 14 minutes until Barry Curran, once again one of his team's standout players, broke the deadlock with another trademark point.
Oisin Bonner and Dylan Sweeney, after slicing open the Naomh Muire rearguard with searing runs in the closing minutes of the half, were both denied by point blank saves from Declan Ward.
Dungloe led by eight points, 2-4 to 0-2 at half-time, and posted seven wides to Naomh Muire five in the opening 30 plus minutes.
Any hope of a Naomh Muire comeback were dashed in the early minutes of the second half when McGee got on the end of a good move to pounce for goal number three.
Dungloe were now 3-4 to 0-2 in front and in control. But to their credit Naomh Muire did not throw in the towel. They struck for the next three scores with Cormac Cannon getting forward from corner back to split the posts. Harry Harden and Declan Ward, from frees, added the other two scores.
But Dungloe, who went close on 20 minutes without a score in the second period, finished with a late flourish and four points to Naomh Muire’s one.
