Burt are looking to make a late push to pull away from relegation danger.
Burt nabbed up their second win of the season with a double score victory over Gaeil Fhanada, in Hibernian Park, on Sunday afternoon.
Burt 1-15 Gaeil Fhánada 0-9
Mark McElhinney scored the goal and also posted a point while Keith McColgan, Sean McHugh, John Fitzparick, Darren Bradley, Martin Donaghey, Stephen O’Donnell and Shayne Gallagher were among the other Burt scorers.
Liam McGrenaghan top scored for Gaeil Fhanada who lost their talisman Seimi Friel to injury in the first half.
Burt got off to a flying start and were 0-4 to 0-1 up after ten minutes. And while Gaeil Fhanada pulled the lead back to one, 0-6 to 0-5, by the 20 minute mark, Burt still led 1-8 to 0-5 at half-time.
McElhinney, having earlier been denied by a good save from Mark McConigley, scored the Burt goal six minutes from the end of the opening half.
McGrenaghan then hit the first two points of the second half for Gaeil Fhanada to reduce the lead to four points. But Burt took a firm grip on the tie from then to the finish to run out comfortable winners.
The win moved them out of relegation play-off territory and they are now one point clear of Naomh Muire (Lower Rosses) who are third from bottom but Naomh Muire have a game in hand on the Inish men.
