Donegal's Ulster SFC winners of 1983 held an informal reunion some 40 years on at Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club on Friday.

Members of the panel enjoyed a round of golf together before an evening in the Twin Towns. On July 24, 1983, Brian McEniff's side were 1-14 to 1-11 winners against Cavan at St Tiernach's Park in Clones to become provincial champions for the third time, following on from their maiden success in 1972 and second crown in 1974.

Following on from their victory in the 1982 All-Ireland U-21 championship, Donegal overcame Armagh 1-10 to 0-7 and then Monagan on a 1-14 to 1-9 scoreline. Following their Ulster title, Donegal lost out 1-12 to 1-11 in heartbreaking fashion in the All-Ireland semi-final.
