Donegal's third Ulster title in 1983 came 40 years ago this month

We look back at Donegal's victory over Cavan in 1983 which saw Seamus Bonar become the first Donegal player to win three Ulster senior medals. We also look at where the participants ended up

Age 30. Goalkeeper. One of Donegal's most loyal and unsung servants. Played his first game for the county in the 1974 Ulster final replay and has been the county's regular goalkeeper ever since, hardly missing a single game. Dungloe-born, he is a bank official based in Letterkenny. Has a McKenna Cup medal as well as two Ulster SFC medals. Donegal SFC medal 1983.

Noel is now retired and lives in Dublin.
