Calvin Bradley's 1-3 played a huge part in Red Hughs' win over Naomh Muire
Red Hughs opened their Intermediate Championship campaign with a narrow win over a battling Naomh Muire on Saturday night, at Pairc Aodh Ruadh.

Calvin Bradley scored a goal and three points and Jack Gillespie chipped in with five points for the winners. Harry Harden top-scored for Naomh Muire with four points in a tie the men from the Lower Rosses had seven different scorers.
In a closely contested encounter throughout Red Hughs led by a point, 1-3 to 0-5, at half-time. Calvin Bradley’s goal was the big score of the half.
It was nip and tuck in the second half with the locals thanking to the trusty right boot of Jack Gilllespie shaded on the scoreboard as they outscored Naomh Muire by eight points to seven.
Red Hughs lost Stephen McMenamin to injury 10 minutes from the end but still held on to chalk up two precious championship points. The county man was forced out of the game with what is believed to be a dead leg.
