There was a real Donegal backbone to Gävle Gfc Sweden’s Nordic Championship win with two players from the north west involved in the starting line-up as well as interest in the backroom team.
Naomh Columba’s Cian Gallagher skippered the side while Kilcar’s Andrew McClean also starred. John Cunningham, Teelin, was part of the management team.
Closer to home McClean's Kilcar grabbed their second SFC group game win at the weekend as they defeated St Michael's while Gallagher's Naomh Columba suffered IFC defeat at the hands of Bundoran.
