Big Donegal contingent in University of Ulster opening day Fresher success

There was a good start to the Gaelic season for the Ulster University Division 1 Freshers team on Wednesday night with a big win over their neighbours Queen's.

And there was a big Donegal contingent involved in the 4-16 to 0-9 victory with four of the county's top young players in the starting team.

Aodh Ruadh's Eoghan Kelly was centre-half back; scoring sensation in the Donegal senior championship Karl Joseph Molloy of Ardara was in the half-forward line while Max Roarty of St Michael's and Ryan Barrett of Bundoran were part of the full-forward line.

And there is also a further Donegal involvement as former Aodh Ruadh player, Anthony McGrath, is coaching the UU Freshers.
