Gold Coast Suns star Niamh McLaughlin.
Niamh McLaughlin and the Gold Coast secured their first finals berth in three years after they recorded a 14-point victory away to Essendon on Friday night.
A home final now awaits the Suns, who cannot finish lower than fifth on the table. Yvonne Bonner made a scoring return from injury for the Adelaide Crows on Saturday morning as they defeated West Coast by 26 points in brutal conditions at Perth's Mineral Resources Park.
The Crows are locked into a top-two finish and are now relying on Brisbane to beat Melbourne on Sunday so they can remain in top spot ahead of the business end of the AFLW season.
Tanya Kennedy and the Sydney Swans currently occupy the eighth and last finals spot. They are locked on 20 points with three other teams in Collingwood and St Kilda.
They take on Freemantle tomorrow morning hoping to hold onto that crucial berth.
