Glenswilly have expressed their gratitude to their outgoing management team with their search for a new boss underway.

Manager Pauric Bonner, a native of Dungloe, have stepped aside at Paic Naomh Columba, as have his backroom team members Tarlach Bonner and Ciaran Sharkey.

Bonner took the Glenswilly hotseat in late 2020 and having been relegated from Division 1 of the All-County Football League in 2022, were impressive winners of Division 2 this year. Glenswilly reached the quarter-finals of the Donegal SFC in each of the last two seasons, losing to eventual champions Naomh Conaill last year and then going out to MacCumhaill’s this term.

“We would like to thank Pauric Bonner, Tarlach Bonner, Ciaran Sharkey and their backroom team who have stepped down from their roles as our senior football team management.,” Glenswilly GAA club posted.

“We would like to acknowledge their hard work and commitment to improving and developing all our players and have left the team in a good place having secured promotion back to Division 1 in the All County league and cemented our position in Senior Championship for 2024. We would like to wish Pauric, Tarlach and Ciaran and their families all the best for 2024.”
