Aodh Ruadh and An Clochan Liath put up big performances representing Donegal and Ulster but there was no success for Ulster reps

Donegal clubs lose out in All-Ireland Scór Sinsear finals in Killarney

There was no success despite very strong performances from three Donegal acts at the All-Ireland finals of Scór Sinsear at the INEC Centre in Killarney this Saturday evening.

Donegal was represented by Aodh Ruadh in Ceol Uirlise and in the Question time while An Clochan Liath represented Donegal in the Novelty Act.

The Aodh Ruadh Instrumental music group consisted of Seán O’Brien, Lorraine O’Brien, Michael McGrath, Cíarde Sheerin and Ríonach Sheerin, who had won out in Donegal and ulster.

The Nuachleas group from An Clochan Liath, who were appearing in their second All-Ireland final in-a-row included: Eugene McGarvey, Adrian Alcorn, Kathleen Bonner, Maria Gallagher, Martin McShea, Beatrice Farrelly, Terence Ogelsby, Gearoidín Breathnach, Hugh Breathnach and Mary O'Brien, who had also won in Donegal and Ulster.

The Novelty Act of An Clochan Liath

The Aodh Ruadh question time team of Sylvester Maguire, Paddy Kelly, Eamon Martin Maguire and John Hughes were also in action in the All-Ireland final but lost out narrowly in securing a place in the knockout stages.
