Ryan Malley in action for Scotstown.
Former Ardara player Ryan Malley helped Scotstown to an extra-time victory over Trillick at the Athletic Grounds on Sunday.
Scotstown 0-17 Trillick 1-13
O’Malley was a late second-half substitute as the Monaghan men edged through to their first provincial decider since 2018.
The teams had finished deadlocked at the end end of 60 minutes, 0-13 to 1-10. In the end, it took two late frees from Jack McCarron and Shane Carey to tip the balance in Scotstown’s favour.
The Farney men will now meet reigning champions Watty Grahams in the decider after they defeated Naomh Conaill on Saturday evening in Omagh.
