Glenswilly finished well in the final 10 minutes to reach their first U-21A semi-final since 2004, back when Neil Gallagher was their star player.

Glenswilly 0-11 Aodh Ruadh 0-7

They were given a good run by the Ballyshannon side, who led until the final 10 minutes but Glenswilly, inspired by Daithi Gildea and Eoghan Scott, pulled away to finish worthy winners and clinch their place in the last four.

The conditions were cold with some frost lingering at the ground in Glenswilly and scores were at a premium in the opening half. It was into the second quarter before either team raised a flag and by half-time the visitors, Aodh Ruadh, were a point to the good, 0-3 to 0-2.

Aodh Ruadh doubled that lead early in the second half and led by 6-4 and 7-5 after 45 minutes.

But with Gildea and Scott in good scoring form, Glenswilly finished strongly getting back on terms with nine minutes left and they hit the last four points for a comfortable win in the end.
