Gary Wilson has been appointed as the new manager of Sean MacCumhaills senior football team.
Wilson has been confirmed by the club as the new boss for the 2024 season having been a coach with the side in 2023.
Wilson was a part of the Donegal Under-21 panel under Jim McGuinness in 2010.
A native of Lifford, Wilson went on to play for MacCumhaills and has recruited Ruairi McLaughlin, Shane McNulty and Karl Hughes to his backroom team.
Wilson was a part of a management team that was led by joint managers Mark O’Sullivan and Darren O’Leary this year with Mickey McMahon also having been involved.
The Twin Towns side reached the Donegal SFC semi-finals, losing out 3-9 to 0-11 at the penultimate hurdle.
MacCumhaills are also seeking management for their reserve football team after Paul McCauley and Chris Doherty stepped away while Marcel McGhee has departed as the manager of the club’s senior hurling team.
