Callum McCrea and Seanán Carr with the MacLarnon Cup
Players and coaches from the Abbey Vocational School were present at the official launch of the 2024 Danske Bank MacLarnon Cup, which took place yesterday at the Tyrone Centre of Excellence.
Team captains, teachers, and coaches from both the MacLarnon Cup and MacRory Cup joined representatives from Danske Bank and Ulster Schools GAA for promotional photographs and interviews.
Abbey Vocational School players Seanán Carr and Callum McCrea – two former county minor players with Donegal - represented their school at the launch.
The Donegal Town side is into their first-ever MacLarnon Cup final following their 14-point semi-final victory over St Patrick’s Grammar School last Monday in Garvaghey.
The school's last success at Ulster senior level was when they won the 2016 Markey Cup.
The MacLarnon final will take place at Armagh's Athletic Grounds and will be streamed live on Ulster GAA TV.
The MacRory Cup final, which will be played at the same venue following the Ulster B final, will be streamed by BBC.
