Erin McConalogue
Inishowen U-18 star Erin McConalogue has been selected for the second year to play for Ulster U-18s Girls Interpros.
Erin - who is still only 16-years-old - has already proven herself to be a leader amongst her peers.
Her appointment as vice captain this year is a testament to her ability as a player and leader. Ulster lost to a strong Connaught last Thursday at Terenure College.
Their second game against Munster on Sunday was also a tough outing for the young Ulster team who lost out with McConalogue scoring the only Ulster try.
“Inishowen RFC are very proud of Erin's achievements. It is great to see the opportunities for girls in the province now through the IRFU and Ulster Player Pathways', says Club President Anne Scott.
“Erin is currently training with the National Training Squad under pathway development. These important stepping stones pave the way for girls to represent Ireland in a green jersey whether in the U-18s Sx Nations, U-18s Sevens, Women's Six Nations, and Women’s Sevens series.
“The future is certainly exciting for anyone who puts in the work”.
