Shaun Ward and Conor Reid were both starters in the forward line for DCU in the All-Ireland Fresher Division 1 final

Glenfin's Shaun Ward scored 1-3 for DCU in their 13-point win over Galway University in the Fresher Division 1 football final at DCU on Wednesday night.
Four Masters' Conor Reid also lined up for the northside college, in his case at centre-forward, as their abilities to get goals sealed what was ultimately a comfortable win.
Ward, who was right corner-forward, slapped home the only goal of the first half, as DCU went in with a lead of 1-5 to 0-3 and they continued that forward momentum after the break, with Eoin Drysdale, Ryan Sinkey and Liam Flynn all scoring second-half goals.
