Here's what the sixth series of fixtures meant for Donegal and the Division 2 sides

Donegal's 0-17 to 1-8 victory over Kildare means an instant return to Division 1 of the Allianz National Football League.

As in 2014 and again in 2019, Donegal's stay in Division 2 was just a single season before getting up again. In 2025 they will be joined by Armagh, who were comfortable winners over Cavan, 2-21 to 0-12, at the Athletic Grounds, with Monaghan's 1-19 to 2-13 loss to Tyrone in Division 1 meaning relegation for Vinny Corey's team. 

Armagh and Donegal will meet in the Division 2 final at the end of March, merely playing for silverware. This coming Saturday, Meath are the visitors to Ballybofey for the last of the seven league games, while Armagh make the the trip to take on a Cork side who are now away from the danger after a 1-15 to 1-11 success in Navan.

The situation at the bottom is now a straight fight between Fermanagh and Louth, with Kildare already relegated following their defeat to Donegal. 

Louth, who have four points, enjoyed a fine 6-18 to 0-11 win over Fermanagh on Saturday. In the seventh series of fixtures, Louth are away to Kildare, with Fermanagh, on three points, needing at least a victory in Cavan due to their inferior head-to-head with Ger Brennan's Louth.
