In Pictures: Donegal's seven promotions to Division 1 over last 36 years

On Saturday last in Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow, Donegal won promotion to Division 1 for the 7th time - the first coming under the guidance of Tom Conaghan in the 1987/88 season.

In Ballyshannon, Brendan Devenney tormented Carlow finishing with 2-4 (and he had a goal disallowed) as Donegal returned to Division 1 in style winning by 3-15 to 0-5.

They led 2-5 to 0-4 at the break and the second half was one-way traffic with Michael Hegarty finishing with 1-3 in what was a rout. Donegal went on to lose the league semi-final to Down.
