Donegal 0-8, Derry 0-12
An injury to Tony Boyle in the 12th minute, although he laboured on for half an hour, was the turning point in this game. Donegal were two points adrift (0-6 to 0-4) at the break but were back within one in the 51st minute, but they were not able to close the gap.
