Naomh Colmcille 1-5
Urris 0-8
A goal from the penalty spot on the stroke of full-time secured a share of the spoils for Naomh Colmcille in a low-scoring game in Newtowncunningham.
With Luke Devlin and John McCarron dominant in midfield, Urris had the better of it in the first half and were 0-7 to 0-2 ahead at half-time.
Naom Colmcille reset after the break and started the second-half on the front foot with two quick points from the boot of Stephen Gallagher to reduce the deficit.
Defences were on top and when Conor Bradley pointed from a free for Urris on 52 minutes, it was their first and only score of the second period as the Newtown men were in the ascendancy.
Young Eoin Flanagan then pointed with his left foot with just three minutes to play to reduce the deficit to a goal and the home side were pushing.
With the clock ticking down, Ciaran Kennedy won the ball in the half-back line for Naomh Colmcille and drove forward before eventually laying the ball off to Oisin McFadden who was brought down for the penalty.
Keenan Diver stepped up and dispatched the spot kick and the game finished in a draw.
