Eoin Martin was the main man for Naomh Muire on Saturday as they opened their Division 2 season with a comfortable win against Na Rossa at home

Naomh Muire prove too strong for rivals Na Rossa at the Banks 

Naomh Muire tok the two points on offer at home to Na Rossa.

Naomh Muire got the new All-County League Division 2 season off to a winning start with a comfortable win over Rosses rivals Na Rossa, at the Banks, on Saturday evening. 

Eoin Martin - with a goal and three points - top scored for the winners while Fintan Doherty, Darragh Doherty, Paddy McCafferty, Darragh White and Ferdia Doherty also got their names on the score sheet for Danny O’Donnell’s charges. 

Aidan McHugh kicked the bulk of the Na Rossa scores with Odhran Doherty and Patrick Melly also chipping in with points.

Naomh Muire scorers: Eoin Martin 1-3; Fintan Doherty 0-2; Darragh Doherty 0-2; Paddy McCafferty 0-1; Darragh White 0-1; Ferdia Doherty 0-1. 

Na Rossa scorers: Aidan McHugh 0-5,3f; Odhran Molloy 0-1; Patrick Melly 0-1.
