Tommy, a husband and father of two, tragically lost his life in a farming accident at the age of just 36 back in October of 2021 and to keep the memory of Tommy alive, his adopted club in Monaghan now host an annual  memorial game

Corduff Gaels once again hosted the Tommy Feeney Memorial Cup on Saturday with Tommy’s home club, Ard an Ratha, special guests at the weekend. 

Tommy, a husband and father of two, tragically lost his life in a farming accident at the age of just 36 back in October of 2021.To keep the memory of Tommy alive, his adopted club in Monaghan now host an annual  memorial and fundraising game.

Speaking at the presentation after, Ardara ladies chairperson Vinny McConnell extended his gratitude to everyone in Corduff for the wonderful welcome and hospitality they all received.

He paid special tribute to the Corduff Pipe Band stating neither he nor his players had ever marched behind a band before!

Vinny emphasised the importance of the Tommy Feeney Memorial Cup match to Tommy’s parents John and Noreen as well as his sisters sisters, May, Carmel, Catriona, Jacinta, Edel and Grace.
