Two goals from the home side in either half proved the difference in this Division 2 clash in Madavagh. 

Na Rossa made a bright start and their opening goal came about after a good team move. Oisin Caulfield ran into space down the flank, drove an accurate ball into the danger area which was fielded well by Adrian Sweeney, who offloaded to Adrian Hanlon who hit the back of net to leave the score 1-3 to 0-1. 

Aidan McHugh was clinical on frees, hitting over three on top of a ‘45' to give Na Rossa an eight  point first half lead 1-6 0-1

Red Hughs started the second half brightly, scoring five of the first six  points to leave four between the sides. Amongst them Calvin Bradley with two  from frees and goalkeeper Luke Kelly converting a ‘45’. 

The big moment of the second half came when Adrian Sweeney hit a ball in towards goal which was fumbled by goalkeeper Kelly to give Na Rossa their their second goal and a 2-8 to 0-7 lead. 

Three consecutive Red Hughs points followed but the home side finished out the scoring with Aidan McHugh from a free and Odhran Molloy from play.
