Sunday is a big day for Donegal’s Comórtas representation in Cill na Martha, Cork with Cill Chartha topping the bil in their semi-final tussle with the host club (7.45pm).
The Donegal champions edged out another local outfit, Béal Átha’n Ghaorthaidh, on Saturday on a difference of 2-18 to 2-13 to seal a last four spot.
Maitiú Mac Léin kicked 0-10 there while Stiofán Mac Briartaigh hit 1-3, Eoghan Mac Aodha 0-4, Ódhran Ó Dubhgáin 1-0 and Conor O’Donaill 0-1 did the scoring damage.
Elsewhere, Naomh Muire men are also through to the last four in the Sóirear competition where they’ll go up against Cill Chomáin of Mayo. The lower Rosses side defeated Carna nas Caiseal in the quarter-finals 3-13 to 0-7 (throw-in, 1.45pm).
Naomh Conaill ladies are also in last four action in the Idirmeánach competition, facing off against Naomh Abán of Cork (3.45pm). The Glenties side progressed thanks to a 2-5 to 0-8 win over Naomh Anna, Leitit Mór, Galway.
Donegal Sinsear champions and Comórtas heavyweights An Tearmann will battle it out against Baile Chlár, Galway on Monday in a bid to hold onto their national crown.
