Mickey McLoone from scored a fantastic 4-3 as Donegal reached the final of the Ulster SFC having run riot against Fermanagh at Casement Park in Belfast.
John Hannigan would also net a goal for Donegal, who would return to the same venue only to lose the final to Down 1-7 to 0-8 two weeks later, the day after England defeated West Germany to win the World Cup.
