Ross Marley - two goal hero for Glenfin against Kilcar
Glenfin 3-14
Kilcar 0-12
Glenfin got a big win in Pairc Taobhoige when they turned over an understrength Kilcar to keep their hopes of staying in Division 1 alive.
The win moves the Gaeltacht Lar side a point above Naomh Columba and two ahead of St Michael’s as the business end of the season approaches.
Glenfin head to Pairc na nGael on Sunday next for what will be another huge clash.
On Sunday at home they took control of this game from early on and led by 1-6 to 0-4 at the break. Corner-back, Ross Marley was one of their heroes, scoring the first half goal and then firing home another in the second half.
County panellist, Luke McGlynn, came in for Glenfin early in the second half and also contributed a couple of points, while Odhran O’Connor was one of their best on the day.
Kilcar were short a number of regulars including Eoin McHugh and when they lost Ciaran McGinley and Mark McHugh to injury in the second half, Glenfin were able to push for home and were comfortable winners in the end.
