St Mary’s Convoy clinched promotion to Division 2 next season following a big away win over Moville in Páirc Na Carraige on Saturday night.

It was a tenth straight win for the Laurence McMullan-managed side who are looking forward to playing in Division Two of the ACFL next year. And they did it with a game to spare.

Corrie Lee Bogan scored both of St Mary’s goals, both in the second half, with the first of them from the penalty spot after John Toye was fouled.

St Mary’s led 0-8 to 0-3 at half-time thanks to points from Toye, Pauric Gordon, Liam Toye, and Ciaran Dolan.

Bogan converted from the spot kick early in the second half to open up a 1-9 to 0-5 lead.

And in a great passage of play and an excellent run, Bogan found the net for the second time to finally finish off the game against the locals who were short a number of first-choice players.
