Pettigo chalk up first league win of season over Naomh Padraig, Lifford  

Wing forward Johnny Carrigan scored a goal and two points while Shaun Robinson, Johnny McManus and Callum McGrath also registered for the locals

Pettigo grabbed their first Division 3 win over the season at the weekend

Pettigo bounced back from last weekend’s heavy defeat away to Burt with a five-point Division 3 win over a determined Naomh Padraig, Lifford, on Friday night -  their first league victory of the season.

Ollie McCaughey gave a brilliant performance at corner forward for the hosts with a goal and four points. Johnny Carrigan was also in fine form for the winners. The wing forward scored a goal and two points while Shaun Robinson, Johnny McManus and Callum McGrath also registered for the locals. 

Brian Breslin once more shone brightest in the scoring stakes for Naomh Padraig and ended the game with a personal tally of seven points. 

Oran Gallon scored the Naomh Padraig goal and was also among the point scorers along with Martin Mongan, Mark Gavin and Tom McMullen for the men from Lifford.
