It was a great day in Croke Park last Sunday for Moville GAA member Tony Reddin who got to play during the half-time interval as part of the Cumann na mBunscol matches.
Reddin was decked out in the orange colours of the eventual winners Armagh, who overcame Galway by one point to clinch their second All-Ireland title.
It was a special day for the Reddin household, with Tony following in the footsteps of his father Eamonn who made his Croke Park debut by in 1995 as part of the winning Vocational School side that played in GAA HQ before the National League final that year.
The elder Reddin would return to Croke Park the following season in 1996 and be a part of the Donegal minor team that lost out to Laois in the All-Ireland semi-final.
It was a special day for Moville GAA club as they got to see a club member following in his father’s footsteps.
