Daire McDaid put in a top-class performance against Naomh Columba in the Donegal IFC

Goals win games as the old cliché goes and Termon won a high-scoring affair in the Donegal IFC against Naomh Columba - with Daire McDaid grabbing all four goals.
McDaid was unstoppable and he was ably assisted by Enda McCormick’s 10 points, while Aaron Doherty managed seven for Naomh Columba.
Termon got off to a good start with two goals in three minutes with McDaid on the end of both attacks.
Naomh Columba’s first score came from Shane Callaghan, before Enda McCormick got the next three scores for the home side, to open up a 2-3 to 0-1 lead at the Burn Road.
Pauric Hegarty hit one back for the away team and he was joined on the scoreboard by Pauric Ward, before Cian McMenamin got two Termon points to leave half time score Termon 2-8 Naomh Columba 0-4
The second half got underway with another McCormick point before Aaron Doherty free got the visitors going for part two.
McCormick got another point before goal number three for McDaid and Naomh Columba then hit back with four in a row, from Darragh Cunningham, Doherty and Shane Callaghan.
But with McCormick on form, he added two more and although Doherty kept Naomh Columba in with a fighting chance, McDaid’s late penalty confirmed the home win.
