Laurence McMullan scored a goal for St Mary's at the weekend
Naomh Colmcille 0-5
St Mary’s Convoy 4-14
Corey Lee Bogan, John Doherty, and Laurence and Ciaran Dolan scored the goals as St Mary's Convoy proved too strong for Naomh Colmcille on Sunday afternoon in the Donegal Junior Championship.
St Mary's, one of the championship favourites in this year’s championship, dominated this tie from early doors and led 1-7 to 0-3 at half-time, before turning on the style in the second half.
John Doherty, player-manager Laurence McMullan, and Ciaran Dolan scored the goals to run out clear winners of a tie in which St Mary’s had 10 different scorers and never looked like they were going to relinquish their lead.
Stephen Gallagher, Matthew Doran, Reece Duncan and Willie Gillespie scored the Naomh Colmcille points, but it wasn’t enough as the men from Convoy proved too strong on the day and highlighted that they will be one of the top sides gunning for the Junior title this season.
