Johnny Bach was the toast of Naomh Ultan on Saturday evening following their narrow win over Moville in their Junior A championship clash in Pairc Na Carraige.

The corner forward kicked the winning point deep in injury time to secure the victory for the men in the black and amber just after Moville had levelled the match at 1-9 to 0-12.

The locals came from four down with time almost up thanks to a Pauric Skelly goal and a Seimi McLaughlin point to level the tie after Naomh Ultan had led for most of the half.

Cian Kennedy once again top scored for the Dunkineely outfit with eight points while Bach, Daniel Gallagher, Patrick White and Darragh Murrin all chipped in with points.

Naomh Ultan led by three points, 0-7 to 0-4, at half-time thanks to efforts from Kennedy (4), Murrin, White and Gallagher.

Michael Barr (2), Dylan Doherty and Malachy McDermott were the Moville point scorers.

The sides were level three timed in the opening 20 minutes before Naomh Ultan took the upper hand.

The early exchanges in the second half were evenly contested with Barr and Bach and Cian Kennedy and Seimi McLaughlin trading points.

Moville had cut the Naomh Ultan to two points at 0-9 to 0-7 by the three quarter mark.

But two Kennedy points restored the Naomh Ultan lead back out to four by the 48 th minute.

Kennedy and Barr traded further points before Skelly struck for the Moville goal. That was on 58 minutes and reduced the Naomh Ultan lead to a single point.

And when Seimi McLaughlin tied up the game at 1-9 to 0-12 in the third minute of extra-time the momentum was with the locals.

But Naomh Ultan were not finished and one minute later Bach stepped up and delivered for a great win and two precious championship league points.
