Tori Crawford and Megan Skeffington from Strabane Sigersons GAA Club in Tyrone will be at MacCumhaill Park this Thursday
This week, Tori Crawford and Megan Skeffington from Strabane Sigersons GAA Club in Tyrone will set off on a journey across all 32 counties of Ireland, aiming to kick a point at every GAA county ground, with MacCumhaill Park being their Donegal venue this Thursday.
Their campaign, 'Kicking for Autism,' is dedicated to raising vital awareness around autism acceptance within Gaelic Games.
Tori and Megan will begin their challenge on August 29 in Fermanagh, before heading to Donegal at 5.15pm.
The inspiration for this initiative came from Tori's younger brother, Daire, who is also involved with Strabane Sigersons and was diagnosed with autism. Following his diagnosis, Tori’s family received invaluable support from the autism team and various charities.
Tori and her father, Damien, wanted to create an awareness event to raise funds for Autism NI. Along with a friend and coach, Shea, they conceived the 'Kicking for Autism' idea. Last year, Tori and Megan successfully kicked a point in every GAA club in Tyrone in a single day, raising significant awareness for autism and £18,000 for Autism NI.
