Kevin Lynch and Jonny Toye scored the goal as Naomh Padraig, Uisce Chaoin booked their place in the Donegal Intermediate championship semi-final with a comfortable victory over a weakened Naomh Bríd on Saturday.
Naomh Bríd were short a number of first choice players carrying knocks and bruises going into this encounter which played its part in the result.
Lynch capped a man of the match performance with three goals while he also chipped in with a point.
Toye from the unusual positioning of centre back scored the other goal and also posted two points.
Caolan McColgan, Cormac McColgan, and Rory Hirrell scored the other Naomh Padraig points with the Inishowen men leading 2-3 to 0-3 at the break.
Callum Gallagher off the bench topped scored for Naomh Brid with a goal and two points while Eoin Rush, Gearoid Gallagher and Aaron McGrory also raised flags for Pete Walsh’s men, but it wasn’t enough with the Ballintra falling at the quarter-final stage by 10 points.
