CLG Ghleann Fhinne hosted an excellent  U-12 memorial blitz on Saturday morning in memory of one of their own - the late Gareth Martin. 

Eight teams from the Gleann Fhinne, Glenswilly, Red Hughs and Naomh Conaill clubs took part which was attended by over 100 children. 

The blitz began with a parade where the players were welcomed onto the field by flags with their club colours. 

It was a brilliant spectacle and great credit must go to all the players who showed great skill in an event enjoyed by all. 

Through their social media accounts, CLG Ghleann Fhinne thanked all who volunteered to help out on the day and to all the generous and kind sponsors who made the day such a success.

“Your support is greatly appreciated. Big thank you to McDermott and Trearty Construction and Civil Engineering LTD for sponsoring the referees and to Marleys Travel who sponsored the player of the tournament cups and team medals.
