Despite getting the perfect start Termon were unable to match Tyrone champions, Derrylaughan, in the Ulster Intermediate preliminary round in Healy Park, Omagh.
The Tyrone side had a real matchwinner in full-forward Tomas Carney, who accounted for 1-6 of his side's total and in the end, was the difference between the sides.
Termon got off to a whirlwind start and were 1-4 to no score ahead on 10 minutes, but they seemed to lose their way a little after that.
Jamie Grant and John James Sweeney fired over inside three minutes and there was another brace from Enda McCormick and Jack Alcorn in the 8th and 9th minutes.

It got even better a minute later when Dáire McDaid went for a point but it dropped short. However, Patrick Fegan had made his way up the field to support and he got a beautiful flick to the corner of the Derrylaughan net.
It was as if Termon were in dreamland but after that score, they seemed to go into their shell. Connor Hughes got Derrylaughan on the scoreboard on 11 minutes and directly from the kick out Tomas Carney hit a second.
Carney was to prove his worth again a minute later to cut the lead to four. Termon had a goal chance but the final pass was overhit while Emmett Maguire in the Termon goal made a great save to deny Danny Ball at the expense of a '45' and Carney fired his third point.
Carney converted a free on 20 minutes and by the 28th minute Derrylaughan were back on terms through Sean Robinson and James Donnelly and were the dominant side.
Half-time Termon 1-4, Derrylaughan 0-7.
The half-time team talk proved important for Termon as they got back on the front foot with John James Sweeney pointing within 30 seconds of the restart and Jack Alcorn adding another on 33 minutes.
Derrylaughan's best forward Tomas Carney pointed from a mark and hit a post with a '45' a minute later.
Derrylaughan hit the front on 44 minutes when danger man Carney was on the end of a centre to fist to the net and from the kick out Liam Gervin opened the gap to three points.
Termon were unable to pick up the pace again after losing possession in front of their goals they needed a great block from Cormac Gallagher to deny Brian Kennedy. From the '45' Carney found the range for the Tyrone side.
Ciaran Gervin added another while Jamie Grant had a point in reply for Termon and in added time Dáire McDaid cut the lead to three but it was not enough. Just on the full-time whistle, Termon's Ricky Gallagher, and then Ciaran Gervin were blackcarded for Derrylaughan.
