Declan Bonner and Erne Gaels got the job done against Enniskillen in the Fermanagh SFC final
Declan Bonner has led Erne Gaels of Belleek to a first Fermanagh SFC since 1981 following a 1-13 to 1-9 victory over Enniskillen Gaels at Brewster Park.
A Ryan Lyons goal on the stroke of half-time as well as overs from Shane Rooney, Seamus Ryder and Barry McCann in the last ten minutes ensured victory for Bonner’s side - where ex Donegal and Bundoran star Paul Brennan is also part of the backroom team.
It was 0-2 apiece early on before when Conor Love nabbed Gaels’ goal in the 13th minute and they’d eventually go five clear thanks to efforts from Brandon Horan and Love.

Ultan Kelm twice, one from play and one from a free, would cut the gap for Gaels before Lyons grabbed their three-pointer deep in added time leaving his side 1-6 to 1-5 in front at the changeover.
Matters remained tight right up until the 53rd minute but scores from McCann and Rooney helped leave it 1-11 to 1-8 in favour of Bonner’s charges.
Callum Jones grabbed Enniskillen’s last point late on but it was Gaels that deservingly lifted the SFC title.
