Na Dunaibh - after Saturday’s Ulster semi-final win over Eoghan Rua, Coleraine - are now looking forward to an Ulster Ladies Junior final in two week’s time.

The weekend’s slender 2-6 to 1-8 win over the Derry champions in Pairc Na nDúnaibh was their second outing in Ulster following their previous 5-4 to 2-10 victory over a highly fancied Buttlersbridge away in Cavan.

And Jessica Roberts is just delighted that the momentum isn’t stalling as their season enters the month of November. “

We are absolutely delighted with the win and to be now through to an Ulster final is just amazing,” said tight-marking corner back Jessica Roberts after.

“We have been working toward winning the Donegal championship and it had been the goal all year so Ulster really has been the real bonus since and now we are looking forward to the final.”

The first-time Donegal champions had to twice come from behind to see off a strong challenge from the Oak Leafers  in what was Na Dunaibh’s’ toughest test to date.

“Eoghan Rua are a brilliant team. They really played very well and it went down to the final whistle and thankfully we came through in the end.

“But it was a game that could have gone either way and we are just delighted that we came out on the right side of the result.  It was a really close game and a good game to get in preparation for the final.”

Roberts also acknowledged that the large home support was a real factor in the win.

“There was a huge crowd and they really got behind us and definitely played a part and we’d love to see the same when the final comes about in two weeks time”.

Na Dunaibh will play Warrenpoint, the Down champions in the Ulster Ladies Junior final, the weekend after next with time, date and venue to be decided this week.
