Here are fourteen moments to celebrate the return of the man who wore number 14 throughout his career and is widely regarded as Donegal's greatest player

2012: All-Ireland Valhalla 

No doubt the pinnacle of his career. An Ulster title, an All-Ireland medal, an All-Star award, and an All-Ireland final Man of the Match award were just some of the memorable achievements of that year for Murphy. 

The final itself was perhaps his finest hour. It took him just three minutes to out-muscle Kevin Keane and collect Karl Lacey’s pass before drilling the ball to the roof of the net. 

Murphy would go on to score four further points in a man-of-the-match performance as Donegal won by 2-11 to 0-13. 

He then climbed the Hogan Stand steps and lifted the Sam Maguire Cup.
