Cloughaneely U-21s upset the odds to knock Malin out of B championship running 

Donnacha Ó Baoill was in fine form for Cloughaneely U-21s

Cloughaneely upset the odds to book their place in the last four of the U-21 B championship with a two-point win over Malin in Connolly Park on Saturday afternoon.  

Carragher Friel scored the goal and Donnacha Ó Baoill kicked three points, Patrick Doohan two and Cathal McGeever one for the men for the north west. 

Finn Ward scored the Malin goal and Ryan McGeoghegan, Ciaran O’Kane and Darragh Douglas kicked the points for the locals who went into the game as favourities.

This was a big result for Cloughaneely who suffered a five-point defeat on their previous visit to Connolly Park in the second round of the group stages. 

Malin scorers: Finn Ward 1-0, Ryan McGeoghegan  0-2, Ciaran O’Kane, Darragh Douglas 0-1 each. 

Cloughaneely scorers: Carragher Friel 1-0,  Donnacha O’ Baoill 0-3, Patrick Doohn 0-2, Cathal McGeever 0-1 each.
