Watch: As the LGFA reaches its 50th year who is Donegal’s best ever player?

The Donegal ladies side has enjoyed great success in the last decade

With the LGFA celebrating its 50th season all nine counties in Ulster have sat down to discuss the origins of the organisation and the efforts made to bring it to the level it’s now reached.

Donegal’s own Hugh Devenney has been central to efforts at most levels along the way and he features in the documentary which can be viewed below.

Devenney also looks at some of Donegal’s best players and, in the end, decides who he rates at the very best.

The complete list of participants are as follows: Antrim - Brian Coyle & Emma Kelly; Armagh - Sinead Reel & Larry Crilly; Cavan - John Joe Brady; Derry - Joe Lagan; Donegal - Hugh Devenney; Down - Philip O'Hare; Fermanagh - Rosaleen Lynch; Monaghan - Philip Kelly; Tyrone - Mary Connolly and Eileen Jones-Hardy.

Current Ulster Ladies Chairperson Gerry Doherty and Secretary Colm Murray also feature, with Colm outlining their new Strategic Plan.
