Rory Gallagher was Donegal manager for three seasons from 2015 to 2017
Naas GAA has had second thoughts on the appointment of former Donegal manager Rory Gallagher in the role of head coach with the four-in-a-row Kildare champions.
It is understood that discussions between manager Joe Murphy and Rory Gallagher had been held and a decision for Gallagher, a Belleek, Co Fermanagh native, to link up had been agreed upon, but since then there has been a change of plans.

Gallagher, who led Derry to the Ulster SFC title in 2022, was part of the Donegal back-room team for their All-Ireland winning campaign of 2012 under the management of Jim McGuinness before taking over the side in October 2014, where he was in charge for three seasons.
