New Donegal minor captain Sara Thomas
Four Masters’ Sara Thomas has been chosen to lead the Donegal Minor Ladies team as captain for the upcoming season.
Joining her in leadership roles are Dungloe’s Ava Caulfield and Gaoth Dobhair’s Maria Gallagher, who will serve as vice-captains. The trio brings valuable experience to the team, having all been part of Declan McDermott’s squad last year.

Thomas and Caulfield were both in the starting line-up for the Ulster Tier One final, where Donegal were narrowly defeated by Cavan in Silverbridge.
Donegal’s Minor Championship campaign is set to kick off on 22 February with a home fixture against Derry. The team will then have a month-long break before travelling to face Cavan on 22 March. They will host Tyrone on 5 April, followed by an away match against Fermanagh two weeks later.
