Ronan MacNiallais was initially appointed as Gaoth Dobhair manager ahead of the 2023 season
Ronan MacNiallais will take charge of Gaoth Dobhair’s senior footballers for a third season in 2025.
MacNiallas, who will be joined again by coach Francie Friel - a former Termon, Cloughaneely and Donegal LGFA manager - and Shaun Gallagher as Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Gaoth Dobhair reached the 2023 Donegal SFC final where they lost out to Naomh Conaill and were also finalists in the All-County Football League Division 1 last term, against missing out to the side managed by Martin Regan.
In last season’s Donegal SFC, a youthful Gaoth Dobhair reached the semi-finals and narrowly lost to eventual winners St Eunan’s on an 0-8 to 0-7 scoreline and were crowned Senior B Championship winners having got the better of the Letterkenny team in the final.
