The Guard of Honour formed by Donegal referees in Creeslough today
The GAA referees of the county were among those who paid their respects as the late Don Langan was laid to rest in Creeslough today.
Referees from Donegal formed a Guard of Honour at St Michael's Church in Creeslough, having travelled from around the county - places like Killybegs, Bundoran, Ballyshannon and Urris - to pay their respect to Don at his funeral mass.
Don was the St Michael’s club referee and also ran courses for officials as Donegal GAA referee’s recruitment officer.
Only last month, Pat Walsh, the Donegal GAA Referee’s Administrator, praised Don’s work in his annual report at Donegal GAA annual convention: “Progress is the result of huge commitment on the part of our Recruitment Officer, Don Langan, who has worked his socks off to get us where we are now. Don showed patience and understanding to the clubs and individuals that were approached, spending time and genuine goodwill with all.”
