Micheál Burns returns as Kerry name squad for Donegal clash

Kerry's Micheál Burns has made his return to Jack O'Connor's panel and will be among the substitutes for Saturday’s rescheduled National Football League Division 1 clash against Donegal after the Munster champions have named their team for their home match this weekend.

Both Burns and Mike Breen, who was absent from last week’s encounter with Derry, have been included in the 26-man panel. O’Connor has opted for consistency, making just one alteration to the starting lineup that secured victory over Derry, as Kerry prepares to face Donegal in Killarney.

Dónal O’Sullivan, who made a significant impact off the bench in Celtic Park, scoring 1-2, has been rewarded with a starting role at full forward, replacing Killian Spillane.

Meanwhile, Damien Bourke and Barry Dan O’Sullivan, who were last-minute inclusions in the side that took on Derry, maintain their places in the first 15, occupying corner-back and midfield positions, respectively.

Three players who featured in the matchday squad against Derry — Cillian Trant (St Senan’s), Conor Flannery (Dingle), and Eoin Clifford (Laune Rangers) — are not included this time around.
