A goal in each half ensured Tyrone took the spoils in this tightly fought game in the Ulster Minor Hurling Development League.

An early exchange of points saw the teams level, but Tyrone finished out the half stronger and secured a goal not long before half-time to leave it 1-5 to 0-4.

Donegal hit a purple patch in the second half and were out-scoring Tyrone with some great points from Joe Gibbons and Reilly Stewart.

Donegal just couldn't get the all-important goal to get level, despite a few chances. And Tyrone got their second goal, which killed off Donegal's chance of a comeback.

Donegal scorers: Reilly Stewart (Setanta) 0-4; Joe Gibbons (Aodh Ruadh) 0-3; Davin Byrne (MacCumhaills) 0-2; Dylan Patton (MacCumhaills) 0-2.
